AdminHistoryThese estates were held by the Earls of Beverley from at least 1791 to 1865. In 1865 the estates were divided between the Duke of Northumberland and Algernon Charles Heber Percy. The whole estate was auctioned by Algernon Hugh Heber Percy on 31 July 1919.
The Earl of Beverley's estates consisted of the following: the Airmyn estate which included Booth Ferry Farm, Pastures House Farm, Decoy Farm, Hompe and Tom Pits Farm, Parks Farm, New Grange Farm, Oaks Hill Farm, Percy Lodge Farm, Tofts Farm, Stables and Riddings Farm, West Field Farm, Coney Hill Farm and Mill and Carr Close lands; the Newland estate which included Pease Farm, Ferry Farm, Lodge Farm, The Island and Rusholme foreshore; the Goole estate which included Grange Farm, Bridge Farm and the Manor Cottages; the Blackwell estate which included Sigstone, Blackwell Moor Farm, Busby and Faceby; Summergangs near Hull and the Garthorpe estate.
