| Description | A series of sheets for an overcrowding survey made under the Housing Act 1936. The survey used two forms, form 'A', which was a preliminary enumeration and form 'B', a final enumeration.
Forms 'A' provide the following information: address of premises, name of occupier, no. in rate book, description of property, names of tenants or sub-tenants, number of habitable rooms, number of persons sleeping in rooms, permitted number, whether overcrowded. Forms are signed and dated by the enumerator.
Forms 'B' provide the following information: no. in rate book, name and address of owner, number of families in house, names of tenants or sub-tenants, landlord's surname, number of persons sleeping on premises, description and sizes of rooms, number of persons. Forms are initialled and dated by enumerator. |
