| Description | Original bundles include Beverley, Haltemprice, Driffield and Bridlington branches of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents. All bundles include mainly correspondence, dating around 1944, and memoranda with references to 'Safety First' week. Haltemprice bundle includes a poster designed by Hilary Shaw, aged 8, of Penshurst Avenue School. The Driffield bundle contains two memos only and the Bridlington bundle includes a list of committee members with minutes of a meeting held in Jan 1944. Also includes a bundle of memos and correspondence relating to road accidents, 1943-1945, and 'Jehovah's Witnesses' a leaflet by JM Swift, and the church magazine for the rural deanery of Weighton, Oct 1943. |
