| Description | George Peck was born Hull 1810. During the 1830's he spent six years in Tasmania and New South Wales, returning to England in 1839 with the 'magnificent model of Hobart town'. He spent ten years in England working as a gilder and carver. He returned to Australia in 1853 where he died in 1863. He worked on carvings in Holy Trinity church during its restoration in the 1840's |
