TitleBirdsall Manor House: a later seventeenth century hunting lodge
Date1999
AbstractMany of the gentry houses of pre-Georgian Yorkshire were depicted by Samuel Buck in his sketchbook of c.1720. This article suggests that a building sketched by Buck forms the core of the present day 'Manor House' at Birdsall. Birdsall is situated on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds near Malton.
