TitleEarly Neolithic utilisation and management of Alder Carr at Skipsea Withow Mere, Holderness
Date1984
DescriptionThere is an abundance of evidence for Bronze Age and Iron Age human activity around the lakes and wetlands of Holderness and Humberside. This paper records evidence suggesting both the utilisation of Alder Carr woodland and the management of this woodland by coppicing techniques, on the margins of Skipsea Witthow Mere, during the early Neolithic.
