Comprises a history of the Church and a description of its fabric and includes transcriptions of monuments and mural tablets in the Church, a list of vicars 1349-1894 and extracts from the parish registers including a reference in 1703 to 'a great storm' when 'atte Yapham ye old oak was uprooted near St Nicholas his chapple along with many great trees far and near. Mr Wilberfosse was killed atte Meltonby by the fall of a tree there'
