| AdminHistory | The Travellers and Settlers project was a joint initiative between the East Riding Archives, East Riding Museums and East Riding of Yorkshire Council Policy team, designed to celebrate the lived experience past and present of the settlement and resettlement of communities across the East Riding. The project utilised the capture of oral and written stories and school workshops to share stories of diversity in the region. Collection contains oral history interviews recorded by Martin Batstone, East Riding of Yorkshire Council Senior Policy Officer, of individuals telling stories about aspects of their lives, and typed transcriptions. Workshops were also delivered in local primary schools using the East Riding Archives’ virtual Archiverse world in the Minecraft Education Edition videogame as a storytelling platform. Pupils were tasked with building and writing about their lives within the game. |
