Letter from Harriet Fox to her mother Mrs C Taylor of Beverley
Date
24 May 1832
Description
Refers to recent visits to London to buy clothes as well as attendance at a morning musical concert. Describes a visit to Somerset House to view an exhibition of pictures and a trip to see the skeleton of a 200 feet long whale at Ostend. Refers also to a clockwork toy seen in a shop - 'a little Chinese figure of a man who danced on a rope while two others stood by his side playing on different instruments'.
