The property was devised to him by the will of Mrs Elizabeth Broadley, Bilborough, Lincolnshire. After the death of Lydia Broadley the property was devised unto Rochfort Burrow Grange, St Johns College, Cambridge, and Caroline Anne Charlotte Grange, Norton Street, Portland, Middlesex, son and daughter of Rochfort Grange and Caroline Anne Grange, his wife.
