AdminHistoryMargot Johnson, born 1921, trained in the Department of Palaeography and Diplomatic at the University of Durham 1959-1961 and was Deputy Librarian at the Cathedral Library there. She became a Fellow of the Library Association in 1952. She published articles on Durham and the surrounding area. Her mother was Margaret Elfreida Tennyson and the collection includes research relating to that family. The Tennyson family had links to the East Riding of Yorkshire, particularly Holderness and also claimed a link with Alfred, Lord Tennyson.
