Constable got up the Red Cross VA Detachment in Hornsea, Hedon some other places in the East Riding, in 1910 and 1911-the Hornsea detachment ultimately joined the St John's ambulance. He also organised a drawing room meeting at Wassand for the National Service League, in 1910. The envelope contains papers related to the British Red Cross Society, The National Service League and 1st Aid Class'. The envelope also includes a letter from National Service League asking Frederick for his subscription with an annotation asking if his name could be put forward as Vice-President, 17 Mar 1910; a list of successful candidates who passed examination in the First Aid Class in Hornsea for 1910 and 1911 and the Home Nursing Class for 1911; Balance sheets for the Hornsea Red Cross Society, 1910 and Brandesburton, 1911 and Hedon, 1911 and Hornsea Home Nursing, 1911; also includes letters to Frederick expressing thanks for work done in organising the Voluntary Aid Detachments. |
