Bond of William Strickland with William Gray, 1791 Parties: 1) William Strickland of Welburn 2) William Mason of Aston, clerk and William Gray the younger of York, gentleman Consideration: £200 at 4 1/2 per cent Includes annotations from W Mason noting that the £200 was a donation from the Duke of Montagu to Mrs Grace Hoyland with the aim that her daughters should receive interest during their lifetime. Mr Gray transferred the sum to William Strickland. Note from Eustace Strickland that as executor of Sir William Strickland £172 6s 2d has been paid off, 1834 |
