Bequests to the poor of Kilnwick and nearby villages, to his nephew Thomas Beckwith, to Roger, Dorothy, Mary and Olive, children of Jane Beckwith his neice, to Mary daughter of his nephew Thomas Wood, to Thomas Dolman of Pocklington and John Morley of Kilnwick, to William and Richard Morden, to George Ffranck of the city of York his kinsman, to Thomas Hall of the city of London, to Ffrancis Blackburn of the city of York, to Thomas Storburn of Pocklington, and others.
Witnesses: Christopher Nelson, Thomas Beckwith, Thomas Dolman, John Morden, Geroge Jackson.

2) letter of administration, probate of the will of Barnay Wood, in Latin
Date: 24 Jan 1616/17

The will was presented to the archives in a frame which was removed upon arrival by the conservator. It included a note stating 'the will of Barnay Wood of Kilnwick Percy made 28th November 1616. He was the son and heir of Thomas and Jane Wood the builders of the Hall in 1574. Like his father he left money for the poor of numerous local villages and hamlets which are listed at the end of the will. (Proved 24 Jan 1616/17)'
