DescriptionIncludes references to having written to him at Peover; hoping to be with Cooper at Cambridge; Mrs Fonntaine Osbaldiston; Barton; coming from Cambridge in post Chaises; arrangements for the journey from the Humber to Kilnwick; seventeen windows of the New Square burnt down a, Mr Wilbraham, Mr Harley, Hoskins, Master Sawyer, Mr Ch[arles] York, Ansel and Cholmondley only just having time to escape and none except Mr Harley saving anything; in the next stair case they having had time to save most of their things but there being four sets of chambers burnt; the inconvenience of the loss of Title Deeds and Securities and a reminder that they will have Portmanteaus after crossing the water
