'George Peck, purveyor of the fine arts' by Robyn Lake. George Peck was born Hull 1810. During the 1830's he spent six years in Tasmania and New South Wales, returning to England in 1839. He spent ten years in England working as a gilder and carver and worked on carvings in Holy Trinity church during its restoration in the 1840's.
'M C Peck & Son, Hull printers' by Robert Barnard. Michael Charles Peck (1807-1887) was a printer and stationer in Hull. His brother George was purveyor of fine arts in Australia. M C Peck took his son into partnership in 1865.
