Has received very few letters from his father. Town is still booming with over 500 families arriving during the Spring. Speaks of the gold and copper mines near Ishawooa and how claims are selling for $15,000. Cody's [divorce?] case cost him $100,000. It takes 5 years to become an American citizen. Still a lot of cattle stealing and banks robbed. Has included a newscutting regarding the difficulty in finding work.
