Title
Letter from George Calverley-Rudston, The Irma hotel, Cody, Wyoming, to his father, Trevor Wheler Calverley-Rudston
Date
14 Jan 1905
Description
Has been taken to Cody to be treated by a woman doctor but he is feeling better. Cannot afford the hotel bills. Speaks of murders and suicides and bank 'hold-ups'. Scarlet fever, typhoid, whooping cough, smallpox are rife but the doctors are unable to tell the difference. Buffalo Bill prefers the lady doctor who he says is the most knowledgeable and has mentioned that his divorce is postponed.
