DescriptionIncludes opinion whether Elizabeth and George Hessell are liable to pay their passage money as John Hessell, executor to Charles Rudston-Read, died within a few weeks of him. Opinion is given by HB Gresson is that they are not liable, 2 May 1855; letter from Tonita Lucy Rudston-Read acknowledging receipt of bequest, 9 October 1856; letter from Margaret Donne, Weston Vicarage, Stevenage to Mr Read, acknowledging the receipt of the penwiper and desk bequeathed in his will, 15 November 1856; receipt of Elizabeth Faulconer of two bracelets, a smelling bottle and Bible, 26 November 1856; opinion whether Elizabeth and George Hessell are liable to pay their passage money. John Hessell, executor to Charles Rudston-Read, died within a few weeks of him. Opinion is given by HB Gresson is that they are not liable, 2 May 1855; acknoweldgement for a receipt from Rev G Rudston-Read, Teresa Rudston-Read, Louisa Rudston-Read and Georgiana Read, 8 October 1856; letter from AR Creyke to William Henry Rudston-Read, 3 December 1856 which refers to him waiting for William Henry Rudston-Read to discharge his brother's property so that he can pay some expenses. With copy reply on the original letter that William Henry Rudston-Read has given authority to AR Creyke; letter from AR Creyke, Lanes Hotel, St Albans Place to [WH Rudston-Read] assures him that he will have a drawing of Brothers [?] and says that the bills were destroyed in New Zealand in compliance with his wishes, nd.[1856].
