Wishes he could have the £4,000 loan for another year and that he could provide security by a mortgage on the Newland property which is double the amount he owes. Considers himself a secure tradesman. Has been offered shares in the 'Andrew Marvel' 'the King ship of the Fishing' and wishes to purchase them. Daughter's marriage required money. Quotes the success of his shipping trade in 1832 and 1833.
