Description | Parties: 1) John Lyster, the younger of Kingston upon Hull by virtue of a lease to him by Elizabeth Saltonstall of Hull, widow 2) Walter Rudston of Hayton of York, esquire Property: 3 tenements occupied by Elizabeth Saltonstall, Thomas Wright, gentleman and William Foxley, yeoman lying in Hull Street of High Street and the garden. Consideration: from the feast day of St Martin the bishop in winter for 9 years. But the first four years at a yearly rent of £10 and to educate and bringing George Saltonstall (son of Samuel Saltonstall), meat, drink, lodging and learning with the remaining 5 years at £20 yearly rent. That Walter Rudston will keep the property in good repair.
On the reverse that the 3 October 1616 Walter Rudston surrendered to John Lister all his title and term in his lease with the said John Lister did surrender to John Lyster all his right title and term in his lease. Walter Rudston is to return to the said John Lister the other part of this indenture.
