Abstract of accounts typically contain: general statistics, statement of government grants, revenue accounts for general and special purposes (consisting of accounts of each County Council Committee) and other separate accounts for residential and children's homes, North Eastern Sea Fisheries Committee and Yorkshire County Committee.
Prior to 1940 abstracts of accounts consist of a general account and a series of separate accounts for each service including: smallholdings. public assistance, police, higher education, elementary education, libraries, mental hospital, small pox hospital, sanatorium, North East Sea Fisheries Committee, Yorkshire County Committee and also accounts for Bridlington School, Bridlington High School, Beverley Grammar School, Beverley High School for Girls and Pocklington School.
