Bequests: interest of monies in funds for life to Anne Raikes, his wife; estates of Welton, Wauldby, Elloughton, Southwold, Ellerker and Braffords for life to Anne Raikes, his wife, then for life to Thomas Raikes, his son, then for life to Robert Raikes, his son, then for life to Anne Louisa Lutwidge, his daughter, then to Robert Raikes, his grandson, by Thomas Raikes; estate of Eastdale for life to Robert Raikes, son, with succession to his son William Raikes and if he should die, his son Arthur Raikes; Woodhill for life to Robert Raikes, his son, and then to his son William Raikes; estates of Drypool, Sutton, Summergangs and Sudcoates (except for the Garrison Ground) for life to Robert Raikes, his son, and then to his sons Arthur Raikes and Henry Raikes as tenants in common; estates at Aldbrough, Etherwick, Burstwick, Skirlaugh, Preston, Elstronwick, Ellerby, Blenkin's Farm at Preston and Jackson's Farm at Ottringham in trust to Anne Louisa Lutwidge, for use of her and her children, as long as they live; farm at Willerby to Robert Raikes grandson by Thomas Raikes; next presentation of vicarage of Burton Agnes cum Harpham, 'if no one of my Grandsons are brought up to the Church 1 would so far wish to comply with the request of my late Brother J M Raikes a to recommend his son Frederick provided he is in the Church of good character and a useful member in his vocation', appoints Anne Raikes as sole executrix, appoints 2 sons and son in law Rev C H Lutwidge trustees to £46,000 as legacies to his grandchildren, the grandsons to be paid on reaching 21 years and the granddaughters on reaching 25 years but forfeit if they contract a message without consent or if they misbehave themselves; if at anytime Anne Louisa Lutwidge being a widow and desirous of a residence at Welton, she has possession of house and premises at Spring Hill, without paying rent; £100 to trustees of Hull General Infirmary; £50 to trustees of Hull General Dispensary; estate at Drypool as purchased of the corporation to Thomas Raikes and Robert Raikes, his sons, as tenants in common, also the Bank House premises and warehouse in Hull

Codicil dated 24 Jul 1837 gives the estates to Robert Raikes his grandson, on the death of Thomas Raikes, on condition he does not raise money on the estate except for a marriage jointure
