| Description | The Bridlington Burial Board was formed in October 1873 following a resolution at the Bridlington vestry meeting. A Burial Board was created for a district consisting of the parishes of Bridlington, Buckton, Easton, Hilderthorpe, Speeton, Wilsthorpe and part of the parish of Sewerby. In July 1895 the Burial Board became a Joint Committee appointed by the Bridlington Urban District Council and parish meetings for the purposes of carrying out the provisions of the Burial Acts. From March 1903 this Joint Committee was described as the Burial Authority for the District of Bridlington. |
