Thomas Wilde was born on 4 Nov 1893 in Beverley and baptised at Beverley Minster the 8 Dec 1893, the son of Thomas Whitworth Wilde and Julia, nee Harrison. They lived in Botanic Avenue, Hull but moved to Wilbert Grove, Beverley. After serving an apprenticeship Thomas was recorded in the 1911 census as a joiner, his marriage certificate in 1916 describes him as a wheelwright, he married Olive Hall on 28 Oct 1916, they had one child Thomas Dennis Wilde born in Aug 1926.
Thomas served as an ordinary seaman then as an able seaman in the Royal Naval Division. He received the War and Victory Medals.
Thomas and his family lived in Keyingham after the war in the same house as his brother Walter and his family. Thomas died in Hull on 5 Jun 1962, Olive died in 1958.
