Harold Seymour Robson was born on 9 Jul 1892, the son of David and Martha Robson, he was baptised at St Mary's, Beverley the 10 Sep 1893. In 1901 the family was living in Butcher Row, Beverley. By 1911 David was a widower residing at 4 Wednesday Market, the household was managed by his sister in law, Jane Iveson. Harold the eldest son was apprenticed to his father as a hairdresser.

Harold was a member of the Church Lads Brigade, and known as Seymour appears in a photograph of the assembled CLB company from 1911. He married Sarah Morgan at Beverley Minster on 25 Oct 1915 and enlisted with the Kings Own Light Infantry in Dec 2015. He was posted to Grantham in 1916 and by 1917 was serving with the Labour Corps. He was discharged whilst serving in Nottingham in 1918. Harold was not awarded any medals as he did not serve overseas.

He lived with his family in Anlaby Common, in 1939 he was living with his wife and three children at “Kapree”, Anlaby Common, his was working as a stock keeper and manager of a hairdressers. Harold died in Jul 1969 aged 74.
