Circumstances: came to Hull by boat to visit an uncle but as his friends, through some misunderstanding, did not meet the boat and he did not know their address, he took lodgings but after three days his money was done and he went to Gordon Street station and was sent to this home by Sergeant Hotham. The home manager was unable to take him in but suitable lodgings were found for him and a letter was sent to his relatives in Epsom asking for the address of the uncle to be sent
