The man was convicted at the mid-summer, York assizes and was sent to 18 months h[ard] l[abour] for a certain offence towards the child. She was sent to this home by Major Malcolm and the stipendiary magistrate until a home could be found for her with the grandmother at Leeds. During the time she was in this home the stipendiary magistrate kindly paid her a visit and was highly satisfied with the home Days in the home: 24 Date left the home: 17 Aug 1905 Situation on departure: she was taken to the grandmother at Leeds by the home manager
