Circumstances: brought to the home by Miss Yates of the GFS Lodge, Wright Street, the girl stated she was engaged to go to a situation in London and that a lady had arranged to meet on that date at Paragon Street, that she had waited there all that day and that lady never turned up, she was advised to go to the lodge by some of the staff at the station, she further stated she had been in a situation in Grimsby and that her father was an ex PC in that force. The home manager made inquiries throught the Grimsby police and her statement was found to be false, she bore a very bad character
