Circumstances: this little girl lived with an aunt at Newbald and on the date mentioned, the aunt came to Hull to visit relatives, the child went to South Cave station to meet her aunt but missed her, a gentleman named Levitt saw her on the platform at the station and in reply to his questions she said she wanted to get to Hull, he thinking she lived at the latter place, kindly paid her fare and brought her to Hull but was unable to find anyone who knew her. He took her to the Norfolk Street police station and she was afterwards brought to this home
