Circumstances: had been in a situation but had to leave because she accidentally broke a cream jug. She went to the YWCA Spring Bank and was brought to this home by Miss Dudgen. This girl's mother is dead and her step-mother treats her so badly that it is impossible to live in her home with her. Her father was seen and he corroborated her statement and begged of us to keep her if possible. For the poor child's sake he kept her, she bore a very good character from her previous situation
