Title
Hull City Police Temperance Society Home admission of Hannah King [part of POL/4/6/2/7]
Date
15 Feb 1913
Description
Date admitted: 15 Feb 1913
Age: 16
Address: no home
Circumstances: this young girl was an orphan and had been brought up in the Newland Orphan Homes and had been sent out to service from the above homes but she could not settle in a situation and wanted to go back to the homes. She was then sent to Peel Street home and was sent from there to another situation but left it also for the same cause. She was sent back to this home by the matron of the Peel Street home as it was thought not wise to take her back again. She was a most willing girl and good worker and we believe highly respectable
Days in the home: 10
Date left the home: 25 Feb 1913
Situation on departure: another situation was found for her and she has now promised that she will be a good girl and stay in her place
