Circumstances: this young girl was found destitute in Leonard Street at midnight by PC Stow who brought her to this home. She stated she had been in a situation which she had left and that when she arrived home her mother would not take her in (her father was working out of town). The home manager made inquiries and found her statements were false. She had not been home and her step-mother expected she was in a situation in the country
