Circumstances: this young woman was sent to this home by Superintendant Booth. She had been leading an immoral life for some time but stated she was sick of it and was desirous of giving it up and to get into a situation away from Hull. At first it was thought that she really sincere but owing to her being required to give evidence at York Assizes (nearly 2 months later) it was impossible to send her away to a situation and after she had been in the home about a month she appeared to get tired of a quiet life
