Circumstances: this young girl was taken to the Central police station by her parents, they could not manage her. Superintendant Bailey thought the girl had not had a chance as her parents had a furnished room and the girl had to sleep in the same room. She was advised to come to this home by Mr Bailey and was admitted. It was found that she was a good worker but owing to her having a thumb off one hand it was rather difficult to get her a place
