| Description | Date admitted: 8 Jun 1912 Age: 19 Address: no home Circumstances: this young girl and her boy 3 years old had recently come out of a home at Liverpool where they had been for three years (she was a Hull girl). A sister in Hull took the child to look after it and the mother came into this home for the purpose of getting made ready for service, she was a clean and capable girl. After she had been in the home a few days, the sister (who had custody of the child) got locked up for a certain offence and was sent to prison. A woman who lived near the sister brought the child to this home and was admitted. Arrangements were made to get the boy into a home were he was eventually taken. Great assistance was rendered by the Rev[erend] England in getting a home for the boy Days in the home: 14 Date left the home: 22 Jun 1912 Situation on departure: a good situation was found for the mother on the Beverley Road
