TitleHull City Police Temperance Society Home admission of Florence Clarkson [part of POL/4/6/2/7]
Date20 Oct 1910
DescriptionDate admitted: 20 Oct 1910
Age: 20
Address: no home
Circumstances: this young woman had been in a situation in the country but had to leave through ill health. She had been under an operation at the Hull Royal Infirmary and afterwards was sent to the convalescent home at Withernsea for three weeks. When she left Withernsea she was advised to come to this home
Days in the home: 2
Date left the home: 22 Oct 1910
Situation on departure: she was admitted but on going to the Royal Infirmary to be examined and (as she expected) to get her discharge it was necessary for her again to enter the institution for a second operation to which institution she went on leaving the home. This was a very sad case. She was apparently a highly respectable girl and was worthy of a little help
