| Description | Date admitted: 29 Mar 1910 Age: 17 Address: Hutton Cranswick Circumstances: this young girl was found destitute on the Hessle Road by PC Leighton, who brought her to this home-from inquiries made it was found that she had run away from her situation in the country and had walked to Hull a distance of nearly 30 miles. She had a widowed mother but she could not do nothing for her. She would not stay in her situations. It was thought wise to put her into a permanent home. One was found and was willing to take her but after she had been there a few days her conduct was so bad that they would not keep her and brought her back to this home Days in the home: 10 Date left the home: 10 Apr 1910 Situation on departure: she was sent to her own home and her railway fare was paid
