Circumstances: these two boys ran away from their homes in Leeds and tramped to Hull. They were found destitute and sleeping out in a shed on the Victoria Dock and were sent to this home by Sergeant Beckett. Their parents were informed through the Leeds police but they refused to fetch them or send their railway fare. They were in the habit of running away from home
