Circumstances: this youth ran away from his home and came to Hull, he was found in the Hessle Road trying to pledge a valuable surgical instrument and he would not give a satisfactory account of it and he was taken to the Central Police Station. He then admitted stealing it from his father, his father was informed by telephone but he refused to prosecute. The home manager found suitable lodgings for him
