Circumstances: this little girl's mother was sent to prison for neglecting her children and a few days after her father committed suicide. This girl, together with four other children were taken to the shelter in Sykes Street and was brought to this home by Mr Bailey, the Superintendant. She was found to be a bright and willing girl
