Circumstances: this young woman had been in a situation in London which she left and came away with a young man whom she did not know and who promised to assist into business in Hull. He paid her railway fare and travelled with her to Doncaster, where he gave her the slip. She arrived in Hull with very little money and took lodgings for one night. Next day she was advised to go to the Central Police Station, which she did and was brought to this home by PC Jackson
