| Description | Date admitted: 13 Apr 1908 Age: 15 Address: no home Circumstances: this young girl was found destitute on the Beverley Road at midnight by Mr Wadsley of Dover Street, who brought her to this home. The home manager made inquiries about her and found that her mother died a few years ago and shortly after her death, her father sold up the homne and went into lodgings and the girl went to live with a married sister but she could not manage. She was put into several situations but would not stop only a few days in any of them and for some weeks had been practically wild Days in the home: 12 Date left the home: 24 Apr 1908 Situation on departure: it was thought advisable to put her into a permanent home and she was taken into Dr Barnardo's home. Her father was glad for her to be put under proper control
