| Description | Date admitted: 16 Sep 1907 Age: 21 Address: Pocklington Circumstances: this young woman who had a baby 11 months old, had been in the Pocklington workhouse since its birth, she left the above workhouse and came to Hull to see her sister but her sister refused to take her in or assist her and she was obliged to walk the streets, she was noticed in Prospect Street carrying her baby by Mrs Freeman of Hutt Street. That lady kindly took her in and fed them but was not able to put them up. She telephoned for the police and they were brought to this home by Inspector Goodrum Days in the home: 1 Date left the home: 17 Sep 1907 Situation on departure: they were sheltered for the night and left the following morning for Mrs Freeman's who had promised to take them in hand
