| Description | Date admitted: 17 Oct 1904 Age: 16 Address: West Hartlepool Circumstances: sent by a missionary from Hartlepool to the Lees Walk home by an excursion train to the fair on the 11th inst[ant] and arrangements were made for the girl to be met at the Paragon Station but as the girl came to the Newin[g]ton platform she was not met. She wandered into the fair and made friends with a young woman of questionable character, who took her to her home. She was noticed on Prospect Street by Superintendant Alvin who spoke to her when she told him the story which turned out to be true Days in the home: 2 Date left the home: 19 Oct 1904 Situation on departure: her parents were immediately communicated with and at their request she was taken to the Lees Walk home
