Circumstances: found on the Anlaby Road in company of an older girl of bad character by PC Coxworth, who took her to the police station and she was afterwards sent to this home by the Chief Constable. It appears this girl's mother is a widow and has to go out to work for her living and the girl, having got mixed up with bad companions during her mother's absence. It was at first intended to get her a situation but as she was so very lazy and dirty it was thought that course would be useless
