17 Apr 1885 complained of by Mr Alfred Coble of Blackfriargate for neglect of duty in failing to take energetic means to quell a disturbance which took place in Blackfriargate at 11pm [on the] 16th instant amonst some fishermen, severely reprimanded and cautioned, [signed] J Campbell, Chief Constable
6 Jul 1885 reported for neglect of duty in not patrolling a certain portion of his beat viz Blackfriargate from 2.30 to 3.35pm on the 4th of July 1885 and when found was gossiping with a man in Humber Street at 3.35 pm same day, fined 1 days pay and reprimanded by the Chief Constable
11 Aug 1886 repeatedly gossiping on his beat, severely reprimanded and transferred from A Sub to B Division
8 Nov 1886 leaving his beat one hour before time on the 6th inst, reprimanded by the Chief Constable
26 Dec 1896 being absent from his beat by being in the house 117 Walker Street from 3.15 until 4.10am on the 26th inst, severely reprimanded and fined 5 shillings by the Chief Constable
26 May 1897 being found in the bar of the Vauxhall Tavern when on duty at 6.55am, reprimanded by the Watch Committee for his indiscretion in going into the public house under the circumstances
12 Oct 1900 absent from his point when on duty in Midland Street from 7.40 to 7.50am and when found was sitting down smoking in the livery stable, Midland Street, reprimanded and fined 5 shillings by the Chief Constable
21 Jun 1902 neglect of duty in not arresting a man for stealing a piece of beef from the shop No 43 Porter {Street] on the 21st June, very severely reprimanded and fined 2 days pay and warned as to his future conduct by the Chief Constable
