13 Dec 1884 reported for being drunk and unfit for duty at 9.50pm on the 12th inst and bringing a person to the Station against whom he could prefer no charge, fined 2 days pay and reprimanded by the Chief Constable
3 Feb 1887 being drunk when on duty in Whitefriargate at 12.10am on the 3rd of February 1887, fined 2 days pay and severely reprimanded by the Chief Constable
21 Sep 1887 worse for drink at 9.45pm on the 21st inst, severely reprimanded and fined 2 days pay
14 Mar 1888 being absent from his quarters during the night of the 17th inst, fined 2 days pay by the Watch Committee
14 Apr 1888 making a false statement to the Chief Constable stating that he had been to New Holland and had missed his beat which on enquiry was found to be false also for being absent from his quarters during the night, dismissed by the Watch Committee 18th April 1888
