17 Dec 1900 being worse for drink and unfit for duty in Blake Street at 2.45pm on the 17th Dec 1900, reprimanded and removed from the Detective Department
27 Dec 1903 loitering on his beat from 2.40 to 4.15am on the 27th December 1903, fined 2 days pay and warned that another offence will be most severely dealt with [by the] Chief Constable
10 Jun 1904 being in a stable in Hall Street at 4.05pm (five minutes after coming on duty) with PC 57 Nettleton having a small bottle of whiskey in his hand with the cork drawn and only 1 third full, reduced in grade from 34 shillings to 32 shillings per week for 6 months and then to be reported on
17 Jul 1905 taking drink out of a bottle supplied by a licensee when on duty in uniform, called upon to resign by the Watch Committee [on] 2.8.05 after being suspended from 18 July but allowed pay
