20 Jun 1893 excess of duty in apprehending a man and preferring charges of assault and disorder, both cases dismissed by the Stipendiary Magistrate, severely reprimanded and cautioned by the Chief Constable
6 June 1884 leaving his post of duty - specially engaged watching machinary [at] St Andrews Dock - before being relieved and also for being absent from 4th Section from 10 to 11.20pm, fined 1 shilling and sixpence and reprimanded by the Watch Committee
13 Sep 1886 complained of by several residents in Derringham Street for being worse for drink and creating a disturbance [at] 11pm, fined 1 days pay and [to] return to the single men's quarters by the Chief Constable
20 Jul 1887 resigned
